Tribute to all Misfits

I have been the one left out

Moved out of the way, taken advantage of

I have been the one that no one

Had ever noticed

Invisible to the world, but seen

Through hazy eyes

The real me has never been seen

And, the me I want to be, just

Can’t seem to break free

This is a tribute to all like me

The nerdy, ostracized, misfits

The ones that have so much

To offer, but no one to accept it

But we find our own way

Our being different is our strength

Not our weakness

We must stand strong, together as one,

For we are misfits
